The rainbow themed 3rd birthday party we had for Sophia made it to her top 3 list! The theme was a perfect fit and everyone loved it, especially her. We still talk about it years later.
Sophie picked out her own outfit, the rainbow colored lace romper, we loved it! I filled the house with store bough balloons and paper medallions all in rainbow colors. I sent my hubby and brother in law to pick up the balloons, they fit 4 36 inch balloons and 28 12 inch balloons in the car, not sure how! It was simple enough to not look like a rainbow exploded all over the place!
For the desert table I envisioned a cluster of white clouds over top a colorful rainbow. I used huge crepe paper sheets for the rainbow along with white tissue paper pom poms for the white fluffy clouds. The rainbow crepe paper garland was my favorite element of the party! I left it up for a week after the party!
If you are thinking about planning a rainbow birthday party, go for it! They are still relevant today, 5 years later. Everyone loves rainbows! Search the dollar store, target dollar spot and other bargain stores for all things rainbow! Paper fans, balloons and honeycomb balls are always an easy and quick way to throw some color up and best of all you can reuse the honeycomb balls and paper fans for a Fiesta!
