Hi There!

I am so happy you stopped by my new craft-mom blog!  It is something I have wanted to do for a while now and I am so excited to finally be starting !  I’m Sara, a 30 – ish year old from Sunny South Florida!  I love living here, the palm tree lined streets are my absolute favorite!

I have always loved creating.  I love glitter pens, stickers, hot glue guns, fuzzy pom poms, craft paints, scissors, ribbon, confetti, my silhouette cameo machine and fall crafts are my fave!  I also love pretty card stock paper, I may or may not have a teeny-tiny problem.

I am the wife of an amazing man, Hans,  He supports my craftsy soul. He often comes home to an explosion of craft supplies everywhere, he probably deserves a metal.  I am also the  mom of 7 year old daughter, Sophia. She shares my love  of all things craftsy!  Her stash of craft supplies is just as fabulous as mine and we love creating together! We love long walks down the isle at Michael’s…just kidding…or am I?

I obtained a degree in Studio Art in 2006, but wound up taking a job in an unrelated field shortly after graduation! However, it wasn’t until I became a mother that my ingenuity really ignited. During my pregnancy, I took great pleasure in decorating my daughter’s nursery.  When my sweet baby girl was about 3 months old I took a leap into the world of Etsy and opened up cute little shop I  named Simply Nesting.

That cute little Etsy shop became a huge blessing and I was able to work at home while caring for my baby. Currently my mom helps me with all my pom pom orders, she’s craftsy as well, maybe it runs in the family.  In the beginning I sold hand cut paper butterflies and baby mobiles, soon after I added pretty tissue paper pom poms to the mix. Today I also offer party supplies such as confetti balloons, balloons, tissue paper sheets and so much more.  When you get a chance be sure to check it out!
